The Adventure Kings 200W Solar Blanket with MPPT solar regulator is one of the easiest and best ways to keep your battery charged up and your 12V accessories running while you’re at camp.
The 20 amp Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) regulator is able to calculate and output the maximum amount of power that your solar panel can provide, so whether it’s a bright, sunny day or there are clouds passing over you can rely on it to maximise the charge rate into your battery. In fact, the MPPT efficiency can be up to 99% – that means on those perfect, bright days you can get very close to the full 200W of output from your solar setup!
The 200W Solar Blanket itself is light weight and compact when it’s folded up which makes it easy to transport, easy to carry and quick and easy to set up. Made up of six solar panels that utilise Grade A monocrystalline solar cells and 5 bus bar technology, you know you can rely on this bit of gear to consistently and reliably put out high power!
Although small in size the solar blanket is capable of generating up to 200W of power. Great for keeping batteries topped up, ideal to power your fridge, lights and other gadgets at camp.
Everything you need to charge your battery is included in the kit; first there’s the 20A (MPPT) controller to regulate charging voltage and ensure your battery is charged safely and efficiently. Plus, the kit also includes a 4.4m extension cable for extra reach as well as a pair of alligator clips to allow you to connect directly to your battery terminals. Everything in the kit can be easily hooked-up thanks to the Anderson plug compatible quick-connect plugs that are fitted to the extension lead, regulator, alligator clips and the solar blanket itself.
The combination of the 200W Solar Blanket and high efficiency MPPT regulator means you can expect up to 16.3 amps of charge into your battery – of course that depends on battery voltage, angle of the sun and panel, the temperature and the amount of sun – but choosing an MPPT means no matter the weather or amount of sun, your solar set up is always performing at its peak!
*NOTE: All Adventure Kings Solar Panels/Blankets (excluding 10W Solar Kit) are designed for 12V applications. That means it will work with the electrical system in most cars, vans and 4WD’s.
While the solar blanket is in use, both sides of the solar cells will generate heat. This heat may cause damage to the vehicles paintwork if placed directly on a painted surface. Therefore when using this product near your vehicle, only place the solar blanket on the windshield or roof rack.
